UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI-COLUMBIA SCHOOL OF MEDICINE is accepting applications for the following positions: pediatric radiologist, interventional radiologist, mammographer, diagnostic radiologist, neuro radiologist, thoracic radiologist and musculoskeletal radiologist. We are a small, intimate radiology department dedicated to serve our patients and colleagues. Personal initiative to develop and tailor your position to fulfill the needs of medical community is encouraged. You will have the opportunity to shape the growth of our radiologic service, educated our medical students, 25 residents, 3 fellows and conduct research. Equipment is state of the art. Columbia is a family oriented community of 91,700, ranked #2 "Best Small City" by Money magazine. Columbia offers excellent educational, recreational and cultural opportunities. It is home to Stephens College and Columbia College, as well as the University of Missouri, an academic leader in the Big 12 Conference. Excellent public and private schools serve the community. The radiology department 250,000 exams per year and serves the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics, Ellis Fischel Cancer Research Center, Columbia Regional Hospital, and regional teleradiology network linking 15 additional hospitals. The Department also has a stand alone Imaging center with MRI and Ultrasound. Candidate must obtain clinical privileges and academic appoints at MU Health Care. Position title/rank are commensurated with applicant's clinical, teaching, and research experience: Assistant Professor to full Professor on tenure or clinical tracks. the salary and benefits package is extremely competitive.

University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine
      is accepting applications for the position of Research Associate.  We are a small, intimate radiology department dedicated to serve our patients and colleagues with cutting edge research in the areas of nano and nuclear medicine.  A PhD degree in Chemistry with specialization in chemical sciences, with a particular focus in nanomedicine and bioconjugation or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.  (A Master’s degree and five additional years of research experience in the specialized area may substitute.). Candidates are expected to plan, conduct, and direct the development and application of new approaches, methods, and techniques—all in the area of nanomedicine and related research in biomedical sciences; functionally supervise one to four undergraduate/graduate training in nanomedicine. Candidates are encouraged to generate own research original proposals for extra mural funding.  Additional expectations include: assisting supervisors in writing proposals and in the promotion of research and service efforts with various research and clinical faculty and staff within the department. Candidates are also expected to organize and evaluate data obtained by faculty, graduate/undergraduate students, chemists and technicians and make observations and recommendations before the development and delivery of reports and for peer reviewed publications in scientific journals, and also present papers at scientific conferences. Candidates will supervise the proper maintenance of nanoparticle synthesis and characterization laboratories, sophisticated laboratory equipments including NMR, DLS, Optical microscopes, and HPLC. You will have the opportunity to shape the growth of our nanomedicine research and conduct state of the art fundamental and applied research in biomedical sciences.
