| How
does the integrated residency work? |
| The diagnostic radiology
program is a five-year integrated residency which includes a clinical year
"integrated" throughout the five years of the program. Because of this, we only consider PGY1's for the match. |

| Do I need to apply for a transitional
year? |
| No, you do not. We have a five-year integrated residency
program which includes the required clinical time. |
| |
| Do you have a minimum score requirement? |
| 220 for USMLE Step 1. |
| |
| Do you accept international graduates into your program? |
| We consider all applications submitted to us; however, we do give precedence to LCME schools |
| |
| Do you consider applications
from D.O.'s? |
| We will consider D.O. applications; however, since
our program does not provide a traditional clinical year, D.O.’s completing
our residency program are not eligible to sit for the D.O. boards. (Please provide USMLE scores instead of COMLEX. |

| How
many residency positions are available? |
| Four residency
positions are available each year through the match. |
| |
| What
is the night float and call system? |
| Night float consists of
two-week rotations in which a junior and senior resident cover night duties
on Sunday through Thursday nights. Evening call is from 5pm to 8pm and is
covered by junior residents. Weekend call consists of Friday and Saturday
nights, and Saturday and Sunday days, and is scheduled on a rotating basis.
A separate holiday call schedule allows residents to divide up holiday call
based on prioritized requests. [See Schedule Section] |

| Are there moonlighting
opportunities for residents? |
| Many residents choose to supplement
their income and gain experience by working independently at outside facilities
in Missouri. Several moonlighting opportunities are available for upper
level residents. |

| What is the volume
of radiological studies performed at the University of Missouri Health Care? |
| Approximately 120,000 radiological
studies are performed each year. The radiology department is equipped with
three multi-detector CT scanners, three MRI units (including a 3-Tesla magnet),
a PET scanner, two digital fluoroscopy systems, and a dedicated angiography
suite. The department is also completely PACS-equipped. |

| What facilities
participate in resident training? |
| The primary clinical institution is
University of Missouri Health Care, but residents also rotate through Ellis
Fischel Cancer Center, Columbia Regional Hospital and Harry S. Truman Memorial
Veteran's Hospital, Women's and Children's Hospital, and Missouri Orthopedic Insititute. |

| What is the cost
of living in Columbia? |
Columbia consistently ranks below the
national average for the cost of living. Columbia also enjoys an abundance
of affordable housing in safe, friendly neighborhoods. The average two-bedroom
apartment rents for approximately $500 to $600. Many residents are able

| Are funds available
for educational needs? |
| Each resident is allotted a $1000 educational
fund for each of the five years of their participation in the program to
be used for books, journals, and meeting expenses In addition, the department
provides the Brant and Helms radiology text to each PGY1 resident. |
